OUR STORY

ZAC+GRAY began in Cape Town in 2021, inspired by the everyday challenges of new motherhood. Our founder, Ruth Kennard-Davis, needed a way to carry her phone and essentials hands-free, without compromising on simplicity or style. 

What started as a practical solution grew into a collection designed to move with life - refined, functional and intentional. 

Every piece reflects the same principles that guide us as a brand: thoughtful design, durable materials, and quiet elegance. Our crossbody phone cases and accessories are made to support your day, your way, so you can focus on what matters without extra weight or distraction. 

Since those first designs, we've grown carefully - expanding into ZAC+GRAY ATELIER, introducing our sister brand CASE LAB, and reaching customers beyond South Africa in the UK. 

Through it all, we stay rooted in the values that began our journey: usefulness with integrity, style with purpose, and design that respects the rhythm of everyday life.
